Privacy Policy

Last updated: 01/07/2026

1. Who we are

IPTV Sidekick is operated by Poiynt Platforms Ltd. We are the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the app and this website. For privacy questions, contact us at info@poiynt.com.

2. What data we collect

IPTV Sidekick is designed to minimise data collection. We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address. The data we process is limited to:

  • Playlist URLs: The M3U playlist URL you enter is stored in memory on your TV/device while the app is running. It is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Crash logs: If the app crashes, anonymised technical information (e.g. stack trace, device model, app version) may be collected to help us fix bugs. These logs do not contain your playlist content or viewing history.

3. How we use your data

  • Playlist URLs are used solely to fetch and display your IPTV channels on your device.
  • Crash logs are used solely for diagnosing and resolving software defects.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. The app communicates directly with your IPTV provider's servers using the playlist URL you provide. We do not act as an intermediary.

5. Data retention

Playlist URLs are retained only in local memory while the app is active and are removed when the app is closed or the device is restarted. Crash logs are retained for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

6. Your rights under GDPR

Because we process very little personal data, most requests are straightforward. You have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@poiynt.com.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we process. Communication between your phone and TV during QR pairing is local to your network. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

9. Contact us
